Falklands 40th Anniversary

22 May 2022 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

On Sunday the 22nd May 2022, the City of Norwich Aviation Museum plans to host its Falklands 40th Anniversary event between 10am and 5pm; allowing you the chance to get up close and personal to our Falklands era aircraft, military vehicles and equipment, historical re-enactors, equipment and displays.

The museums Vulcan (XM612) and Nimrod MR2 (XV255) both flew operational missions during the conflict and both will be open for cockpit visits and ‘power on’ demonstrations (subject to aircraft serviceability).

The event will also showcase various displays illustrating the role the Royal Air Force played during the conflict and a number of former aircraft from the Vulcan, Victor and Nimrod crews will be present to share their experiences.

In addition, military re-enactment groups will add authenticity to the day with a rapier missile battery – the type used to defend Port Stanley Airfield on display. The museum’s Lightning, Phantom and Jaguar cockpits will also be open.

Please note: Online Tickets are unavailable for this event. Tickets are on the gate ONLY.
