Exciting donation to the museum…

After months of correspondence, the museum has taken delivery of some items of WW2 USAAF flying clothing kindly donated from the collection of the Michigan Flight Museum in the USA. Have a look at their museum here – Michigan Flight Museum | Historic Aircraft Rides & Exhibits

These rare items will eventually go on display in the revamped 458th Bomb Group/USAAF in Norfolk display at the museum.

Julie Osborne, Archive Director at the Michigan Flight Museum, has been instrumental in the successful donation and packaging of these items ensuring they arrived safely at the museum.

Many thanks are also due to Sara Kay, whose father served with the 458th at Horsham St. Faith, for the introduction that led to this very generous and important donation.
