The opening of the Civil Hall today (27/9/25) was a great success and was attended by many visitors, former and current employees of Air Anglia, Air UK, KLM UK and Norwich Airport to see the display hall formally opened.
After a speech by CNAM Chairman, Steven Day, two plaques were unveiled by David and Simon Finlay, and the hall will now officially be known as the Civil Aviation Hall, Incorporating the Mike Finlay Collection.
The opening plaque, dedicated to Mike Finlay, Simon and David’s father, in honour of his large collection associated with aviation in Norfolk, forms the backbone to this display area.
In addition, a plaque thanking Ian Woodruff, on behalf of the Trustees, for his dedication and determination to create this memorable display area filled with fantastic talking points.
Congratulations to all the volunteers for their hard work and the many members of the public who attended this celebration today.
