We are saddened to hear of the passing in Canada of Murray Peden, a veteran of 214 Squadron, RAF 100 Group.
Murray Peden was the author of the book ‘A Thousand Shall Fall’ which tells of his experiences as a pilot with 214 Squadron. Joining the squadron when it operated the Shorts Stirling, he converted to the Boeing Fortress which operated on secret electronic warfare missions from Oulton, Norfolk as part of 100 (Bomber Support) Group.
